Despite the tension in the region and the mass exodus of foreign players, the season in Ukrainian Superleague concluded tonight with Budivelnyk Kiev getting the 85-77 win and the championship title (3-1) over Khimik. Lithuanian big man Darius Lavrinovic with 20 points and 6 rebounds was named the MVP as he led his team into back to back titles.
Dajuan Summers added 17 points and 7 rebounds, while the American duo of Jamal Shuler (20 p., 7 r., 6 as.) and Romeo Travis (20 p.) did the best they could for Khimik. Budivelnyk played this season in Euroleague via a wildcard, however it remains to be seen what will happen next season.
