The duel between two French teams for a place in the final of Euroleague’s qualifying round ended with ASVEL prevailing over SIG (74-65). It was a game of runs, decided in the last quarter with Taurean Green being the star of the show with 15 points and 12 assists.
An other guard of the winners, David Lighty, added 13 points and a surprising number of 12 rebounds in a key performance. Ali Traore with 14 points was the top scorer of the losing side, while the big problem of Strasbourg was shooting just 8/28 threes against 11/23 of ASVEL. It remains to be seen if the team, which is owned by San Antonio Spurs star Tony Parker can get one more win and the last ticket to the upcoming Euroleague season.
