Galatasaray thanks to 20 points by Nolan Smith survived a scare by Gaziantep and got the 72-70 win in the group phase of the Turkish cup. Anadolu Efes got its first win in an official game for the season by beating Darusafaka Dogus (89-70). Milko Bjelica with 19 points was the MVP for Efes.
Also Konya Spor beat Usak 89-88 and Besiktas prevailed over Turk Telekom 72-62 as Chris Lofton scored 19 points.
