Even at Berlin, CSKA Moscow can’t be intimidated and the same applies to Panathinaikos at OAKA, even however the Greens flirted with disaster against Turow. Still the Polish champions in their Euroleague debut couldn’t complete the upset.

During the first half at O2 Arena, Alba Berlin managed to stay close (44-38), but CSKA Moscow was just too much for the hosts, despite missing injured Viktor Khryapa and Nando De Colo. Six players, Teodosic, Fridzon, Weems, Vorontsevich, Jackson (photo) and Kaun scored in double digits and the final 84-68 score is evident of CSKA’s dominance.

Ιn Athens, Panathinaikos which is still a work in progress got the lead from the start over Turow and never lost it until the final 84-77. However thanks to a big game of former Olympiacos player Mardy Collins (23 p., 9 r., 5 as.) and Damian Kulig (17 p.) the Polish champs made it a two point game with five minutes to go (73-71). Nikos Pappas answered with a three (76-71). Τhanks to a three by Collins (80-77) Turow got into striking distance again, but couldn’t score more.
