Four big games completed the 3rd round of Euroleague’s regular season with Laboral Kutxa, EA7 Milano, Unicaja Malaga and Barcelona smiling in the end. Specially the wins of EA7 Milano and Laboral Kutxa are more than important.

The game at Vitoria between Laboral Kutxa and Galatasaray was close from wire to wire and finally it was decided on the last shot. With three seconds to go Thomas Heurtel with a great assist found Colton Iverson who made the final 91-90 and finished the game with 17 points. Vladimir Micov who had in total 20 points, attempted the last shot, he beat the buzzer, but couldn’t make it. Heurtel also had 17 points and 8 assists and Sasha Vujacic added 14 points for the winners in his debut with the team.

The duo of Daniel Hackett and Joe Ragland who scored 16 points each, made the difference for EA7 Milano in the key 81-74 road win over Bayern Munich. The game was decided also in the last minute, but with less dramatic way, as the hosts cut the lead of the Italians to two (74-72) with 1.40′ to go. The answer was a three by Ragland which started a final 7-2 run. The game was decided with Dusko Savanovic (13 p.) and Heiko Schaffartzik (15 p.), the two leading scorers of Bayern missing crucial three pointers.

At Malaga, Unicaja didn’t have an easy night against French champions Limoges. However in the third quarter with a partial 25-14 score the hosts got their distance (63-50) and kept it until the end (75-69) as Limoges never got closer than five points. The guests tried their best in defense, but the better overall quality of Unicaja finally prevailed.

The same applies to Barcelona which toyed with Turow (86-67). Justin Doellman had 20 points and 8 rebounds from the first half, the hosts never lost control of the game and the guests were just outmatched.
