Barcelona survived in Istanbul

Emir Preldzic had the chance to be once again the last second hero, but he missed his three pointer attempt and Barcelona got the valuable 80-78 win over Fenerbahce/ Ulker in Istanbul. The Catalans remained unbeaten in Group C, also known as the “group of death”.

No points were registered in the last 80 seconds of the game, as both teams lost three shots each. Ricky Hickman made it a two points game and no one else could score after that. Brad Oleson with 16 points on 4/4 threes was the key to the guests’ win.  Luka Zoric had 18 points and Andrew Goudelock added 16 for the losing side. However Fenerbahce shot just 2/12 three pointers and also 10/17 free throws, a mediocre 58% efficiency, a detail which affected the outcome.
