The end of the 4th week of action in Euroleague’s regular season had suspense but only in Spain. Alba in Berlin, Panathinaikos in Athens and Galatasaray in Istanbul got very easy wins, while Valencia prevailed over Laboral Kutxa

Thanks to explosion of Jamel McLean (18 p., 7 r., 5 as.) and Alex Renfroe (15 p., 7 r., 6 as.) Alba dominated Limoges (89-66). The French champions never got any kind of rhythm, leaving the court open to the hosts in order to get their first win in the season with a great performance in front of their crowd.

The same happened unexpectedly in Athens. Panathinaikos dismantled EA7 Milano (90-63) thanks to a great defensive effort. Despite scoring just 6 points, Dimitris Diamantidis was once again the most important player on the court, by not missing a shot, dishing 8 assists with just one turnover and also getting 7 rebounds.

In Istanbul Galatasaray stepped over Neptunas (94-68), having a great night and shooting with 60% in threes during the first three quarters. It was a show by Vladimir Micov who scored 9 points, but also had 5 rebounds and 8 assists with no turnovers. The final 127 team ranking of Galatasaray is the best ever in the team’s Euroleague history.

The only real game was played at Valencia. The hosts which announced the release of Dwight Buycks just before the start of the contest, got their first win of the season (79-69) with Laboral Kutxa being the victim. Luke Harangody (23 p.) made  5/7 threes and two crucial free throws in the end. After a good third quarter (27-20) for Valencia, Laboral Kutxa tried to get back into the game, but Harangody answered every time they got close with a three.
