Despite its 1-3 record in Euroleague, Niznhy Novgorod is the only team which still has a perfect record in VTB League (6-0). Tarense Kinsey returned to action and Nizhny got the 89-78 road win over previously unbeaten in VTB Unics Kazan.
Taylor Rochestie with 22 points and 5 assists, Trey Thompkins with a double double (20 p., 11 r.) and Kinsey with 12 points and 8 rebounds prevailed with Nizhny at Kazan by getting the lead in the middle of the second quarter and never losing it until the end of the contest. The trio of Keith Langford, Kostas Kaimakoglou and Curtis Jerrells scored 15 points each, but Unics has to settle for a 4-1 record, behind CSKA and Khimki which are tied at 5-1.
