Maccabi Tel Aviv played with fire, Panathinaikos had an easy task and the bottom line was the same. Two traditional Euroleague powerhouses got the road wins against Limoges and Turow respectively.

Jeremy Pargo proved in France that in any game, it’s the end counts. Limoges had a 71-70 lead with 54 seconds to go but Pargo scored nine of his total 13 points in the remaining time and gave to the champs a 79-73 win. The hosts worked hard and were the better team for most of the game, but Maccabi and Pargo showcased that they know what to do in crunch time. One more notable number are the 8 steals of the new Maccabi captain Yogev Ohayon. Sylven Landesberg was the top scorer of the winners with 22 points.

Panathinaikos prevailed with a 79-69 score over Turow with Loukas Mavrokefalidis having a career best night with 21 points (5/62 2p., 1/1 3p., 8/8 FT). There’s not much to write about a game in which the Greeks were consistent in defense from the get go and after that everything else just clicked. The Greens led even with 23 points (78-55) five minutes before the end of the game, but relaxed in the end and Turow managed to make to make the final score a little more flattering for them.
