Anadolu Efes secured a Top16 spot with a road win in Kaunas over Zalgiris (66-57) and Unics Kazan is back on track to the second phase after beating Sassari also on the road after a thrilling finish (72-68).

In Italy, Unics was the boss for three quarters (58-42), but Sassari came back in the game and with one minute left got within two points (68-66). Still the end of the game belonged to Unics and specially to D’Or Fisher who had a career night with 23 points (10/11 shots), 15 points, 3 assists, 2 blocks and 43 ranking. James White (photo) added 14 points for the winners.

Anadolu Efes kept Zalgiris to a negative record two points first quarter (16-2) and the Lithuanians just couldn’t react and be really competitive after that. The best the hosts could do was cut the lead of Efes to five (61-55) with 39 seconds left. Despite missing Nenad Krstic and Cedi Osman, Efes dominated the game in Kaunas with balanced scoring and a new face having a meaningful presence on the court, 18 years old Okben Ulubay who contributed 9 points.
