Laboral Kutxa with a big road win (89-82) over Galatasaray made an important step towards Top16 against the Turkish club, while Barcelona didn’t face any trouble on the road in order to beat Turow almost by 40 points (104-65).
In a game which was close from wire to wire, Galatasaray entered the last three minutes with a 80-79 lead thanks to a three by Zoran Erceg. However the Spaniards closed the game with a 10-2 run and secured the win. Fernando San Emetario had 25 points for the winners, but the hero of the night was Doron Perkins who scored all his nine points during that 10-2 run. Laboral Kutxa now has one win more than Galatasaray and also the tie breaking advantage with two wins in two games against the Turks.
In Poland, Barcelona started the game with a 8-0 run and Turow managed to stay relatively close until the end of the first quarter, trailing by four (20-16). The hosts couldn’t do much more, the partial score in the second and the third quarter was 59-27 for the guests and of course the game was over. Barcelona played without Juan Carlos Navarro, still five players scored in double digits with Bochi Nachbar being the top scorer with 17.
