Thanks to a good second half, Unics Kazan beat Zalgiris (73-60) and made a huge step towards Top16. The Russians have five wins in nine games and they are on the door of Euroleague’s second phase.
It was a team effort for the winners, who had four double digits scorers, with the duo of Keith Langford (16 p.) and D’Or Fisher (16 p.) leading the show. Still the key for the win of Unics was defense. Zalgiris scored just 24 points in the third and fourth period combined and couldn’t keep up with the hosts after having the half time lead (36-34).
