Fortunally it didn’t end with a bang

The end of Euroleague’s regular season was delayed because of a bomb threat, however all ended without any explosions as Barcelona, Fenerbahce/ Ulker and Cedevita got wins, that didn’t change much in the final standings.

In Athens, Barcelona despite its absences was in almost constant control of the game, the Greens played without Diamantidis and the big news for the hosts was that DeMarcus Nelson finally returned from his injury. Still Barcelona got the 80-67 win with Huertas (17 p.) being once again the leader of the Catalans.

In Istanbul, Fenerbahce/ Ulker was a little bit relaxed in the second half and after getting a 42-33 lead in half time, cruised for the rest of the game against already Eurocup-bound Bayern Munich for the 87-81 win. Coach Obradovic divided the minutes to all his player in a match up that was more than anything else a glorified practice.

In Berlin, Cedevita beat Alba (70-67) in a game decided in the last quarter, when the Croats scored 27 points and let 19. Still it was a game decided in the last seconds and the result didn’t mean much in the big picture, as Alba was already qualified and Cedevita not.
