Nizhny Novgorod, Anadolu Efes and Olympiacos finished the night of the first Top16 week with three road wins, each with its own merit. However the Russians’ triumph in Milan is more than note-worthy.

Playing at full strengh with Taylor Rochestie (19 p., 8 as.) back in action, Nizhny thanks to a great second half got the 79-59 win against dissapointing EA7 Milano. Trey Tompkins was also great with 19 points and 15 rebounds against the hosts who just couldn’t react. Artsiom Parakhouski (18 p., 5 r.) and Tarence Kinsey (15 p., 8 r.) also scored in double digits.

Olympiacos prevailed in Malaga over Unicaja (69-61) with Othelo Hunter being the stand out of the game by scoring 18 points and grabbing 7 rebounds, while Vasilis Spanoulis had a double double (10 p., 11 as.). The game was close until the end of the third quarter, but in the fourt period the Reds imposed their will in a game which was all defense.

At Vitoria, Laboral Kutxa also for three quarters had the game in its hands, but in the end Anadolu Efes knew what to do. The hosts had a 67-64 lead with 2,5 minutes before the final buzzer, but Efes finished the game with a 8-0 run and got the 72-67 win. Stratos Perperoglou with 15 points was the top scorer and Stephan Lasme added 13 valuable points.
