Barcelona and Panathinaikos didn’t have any trouble in getting the home wins against Zalgiris Kaunas and Galatasaray respectively. On the contrary Fenerbache became the only team in the 5th week of Top16 action which prevailed on the road, to be exact in Malaga.

In a really close game, Fenerbahce/ Ulker managed to prevail over Unicaja in a game of details. The Turkish team prevailed by eight points (68-60), however with one minute left the hosts trailed by three (63-60) and got the ball in their hands. Ryan Toolson lost the chance to make a one point game and Fenerbahce closed the contest with 5/6 free throws, securing the outcome. The pressure was great for both opponents, still Goudelock (20 p.), Nemanja Bjelica (14 p., 13 r.) and Jan Vesely (17 p., 7 r.) made a difference.

In Athens, Panathinaikos from the start had the advantage over Galatasaray and got to the 86-77 win without pressure thanks to defense. The final score is almost flattering for the guests, who trailed even by 24 points in the third quarter (57-32). Janis Blums with 16 points was the leader of balanced offense for the winners.

In Barcelona, the Catalans has also an easy night against Zalgiris Kaunas (89-72). Ante Tomic with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists in 25 minutes dominated the contest, Barca had a 29-13 lead after the first quarter and Zalgiris once more was a shadow of its home self.
