The game was close until the end, but the champs closed it the right way. Maccabi Tel Aviv got the 97-94 overtime win thanks to a block by Alex Tyus, a missed shot by Patrick Young of Galatasaray and an ever bigger buzzer beater three by Jeremy Pargo.

Maccabi was leading by 10 points (83-73) with 3.5 minutes left, but in the end Zoran Erceg lost the chance to win the game in regulation as he tied the score to 85-85 with 1/2 free throws and four seconds to go. Galatasaray came back with a 12-2 run and the Maccabi trio of Randle, Smith and Landesberg has fouled out. On the other hand, Carlos Arroyo missed the game due to injury.

Still the game was close until the end and was decided in the last seconds. With the score tied at 94, Ender Arslan was blocked by Tyus in what was a questionable non-call, Galatasaray got the offensive rebound but Young missed the shot and Pargo “killed” Galatasaray on the buzzer. In total he had 17 points, Zoran Erceg scored 29 points for Galatasaray and Arslan added 20.

Watch the big shot of Jeremy Pargo.
