In a game that was close from wire to wire, the experience of Olympiacos‘ leaders made the different on the way to the road win (91-82) against Nizhny Novgorod.
Vasilis Spanoulis with his first three of the game and Giorgos Printezis with a two gave a crucial 81-78 lead to Olympiacos with less than three minutes to go. Tarence Kinsey made it a one point game (81-80) but the rest was all Reds with Spanoulis, despite a mediocre night, scoring 8 of Olympiacos 10 last points and dishing the assist to a dunk by Othello Hunter for the other two. Printezis was the top scorer of Olympiacos with 20 points, while Art Parakhouski had 25 points for Nizhny.
