Milano reached the final of the Copa Italia, for the first time after 1996 and they will face Dinamo Sassari the reigning Cup winner.

Milano prevailed with ease (76-65) over Brindisi after the excellent third quarter and thanks to the great game by Moss, Hackett and Samuels. Brindisi was trying to come back by shooting threes with Denmon and Pullen but couldn’t change the route of the game in the second half. This will be the first Final for Milano since 1996, its last Cup win.

In the first semifinal, David Logan was simply the best (16p.)  and Sassari defeated 77-65 Reggio Emilia in the semifinal, qualifying for the second consecutive year in the final of the Italian Cup.

Until the 24th minute the game was close with both teams tied 41-41. After that, Sacchetti and Sanders caught fire. They seal the deal and with a 16-5 partial score and reached a 11 points lead (57-46, 31’). Despite Kaukenas’ (21p.) great game, Reggio Emilia couldn’ t find the way to come back. The next goal for Sassari is to win Italian Cup for second straight year.
