Real Madrid destroyed Alba Berlin (93-62) and became the first team that qualified to Euroleague’s play offs. The Spaniards have a 9-1 record and a ticket to the eight best teams of the continent.
The hosts flirted with a double digits lead from the first quarter (27-18) and with a 24-7 partial score in the third quarter the game was over. Five players of the winners, Fernandez, Nocioni, Ayon, Carroll and Llull scored in double digits, Sergio Rodriguez added 9, Felipe Reyes had 8 points and 8 rebounds and Alba couldn’t keep up.
The Germans had 10 players on their roster, due to the injuries of Hammonds, McLean, Tabu and Radosevic and specially the lack of those two key pieces of their puzzle was more than evident.
