EA7 Milano was fighting for survival, Laboral Kutxa lost Davis Bertans to injury and the Italians got an easy 99-85 win thanks to their third quarter show and Alessandro Gentile.
The hosts scored 35 points between the 20th and the 30th minute, Gentile had 26 points in the first three periods – 29 in total – and the guests couldn’t react in the second half. Despite having five double digits scorers, the Spaniards played with 8 players after the injury of Bertans and couldn’t keep up with the Italians, even after a 25-20 lead in the first quarter. With this win Milano retain its qualification hopes, being one step behind Efes and Laboral, while playing against the Turks in Istanbul next week.
