CSKA Moscow finished the Top16 in style by beating on the road EA7 Milan, while Panathinaikos made it to the play offs despite losing the last game at Belgrade by Crvena Zvezda.

Thank to two free throws by Boban Marjanovic, Zvezda got the 69-68 win. Dimitris Diamantidis had the last shot of the game in a last three seconds offense but couldn’t make it. Still the Greens because of Maccabi‘s win in Berlin, secured the fourth spot of the group standings which led them to the play offs. Marjanovic had one more double double with 12 points and 16 rebounds.

In Italy, the hosts didn’t have any qualification chances and CSKA got the 88-79 win in a very one sided game. Sasha Kaun was the top scorer of the Russian club with 18 points, CSKA led even by 20 points and EA7 Milano had already only the Legabasket on its mind.
