The playoffs started with a dominant performance by one of the big favorites to win the title. CSKA Moscow destroyed Panathinaikos (93-66) sending a message for the rest of the series.
The Greek stayed relatively close after the first quarter (29-21), but CSKA kept them just at six points in the second period and got a 56-27 half time lead. Milos Teodosic with 18 points and 8 assists was the leader of the winners who never looked back and led by 35 points (77-42) at the end of the third quarter.
Nikos Pappas scored 16 points for the losing side, however that’s just a foot note. The Russians were better in every part of the game and never felt any pressure. In total they dished 27 assists, they shot 51,2% in threes, used in total 12 players and every one scored.
