Venezia and Reggio Emilia started with a 1-0 the Legabasket playoffs by getting the home wins against Cantu and Brindisi respectively.
For Venezia five players scored in double digits with newcomer Pietro Aradori scoring 10 points on the way to a 79-70 win. On the contrary the win of Reggio Emilia was decided by two points over Brindisi (78-76). Darius Lavrinovic scored 18 points and decided the outcome with two free throws (78-75).
