After being a member of the second All Euroleague team, Nando De Colo got one more personal award, as the MVP of VTB league. As he said to Sport-Express.ru it’s not a bad consolation prize after the Final Four.
“The news was an encouragement after the Euroleague Final Four. It’s great to receive this prize. We all worked hard, finished 1st in the regular season and continue to battle for a title in the playoffs. Of course, I want to thank my teammates and the coaching staff. We’re all trying to help each other get better and any of my teammates are worthy of this type of recognition”.
As for the lost semifinal against Olympiacos he added: “It’s the Final Four. Whoever plays more aggressively, wins. Talent also plays a role, plus coaching and a million other little details. But the team’s attitude and aggressiveness at all times is the biggest key to success. We definitely didn’t have it in the last three minutes. Why? I still don’t have the answer to that question”.
