Thanks to a furious first half Khimki got the break against Lokomotiv Kuban and the second spot of the VTB finals will be decided by a game 5. The guests prevailed (76-67) despite the come back effort by Lokomotiv.
The score after 20 minutes of action was 50-28 in favor of the eventual winners, the hosts got within six points in the closing minutes, but that was they best they could do. Marko Popovic was the top scorer of Khimki with 16 points, while Petteri Koponen scored some big plays down the stretch, having in total 10 points. Derrick Brown scored 20 points for “Loko” but it was not enough.
