The first gameday of Italian league was completed on Tuesday night. Cantu had to rest after the three games in four days for the Euroleague qualification round and the team of coach Trinchieri (photo) proved fresh against Umana Venezia.
With its new sponsor, Chebolletta, officially on their jersey six players of Cantu scored in double digits in a 81-61 win. Jeff Brooks was the best of the bunch, scoring 14 points. Veteran American guard Alvin Young scored 19 points for Venezia.
