Luis Scola scored 20 points in 25 minutes as Olimpia Milano rolled over Trieste 85 – 67 away from home to get back on a winning track. The “Red Shoes” were coming off defeats to Brescia and Fenerbahce Beko for the Italian League and EuroLeague respectively.
Milano controlled the game from start to finish to get a win that improved their Italian League record to 12-7. They are now fourth in the standings.
Hrvoje Peric had 13 points and six rebounds for Trieste that is second-to-last at 5/14. Michael Roll and Sergio Rodriguez added 11 points apiece for Milano.
Standings leader (17-2) Virtus Bologna keeps cruising. This time, Sasha Djordjevic’s players defeated fellow EuroCup club Reyer Venezia (10-9) on the road behind 17 points by Vince Hunter and 16 courtesy of Milos Teodosic.
