The Italian Federation decided to extend the suspension of games in all leagues in the country thus further postponing the Serie A Round 8 matches scheduled for 10, 11 and 13 of March.
This decision was taken following the recent emergency measures by the Italian government to contain the coronavirus outbreak. There were 133 coronavirus deaths in 24 hours in Italy, a number that increased the overall toll to 366 since the first cases in the country were reported.
The areas of Lombardy and Veneto in northern Italy are the most-infected by the epidemic.
