A couple of Saturday matchups opened the LegaBasket Day 4 schedule. The remaining action is scheduled for Sunday.
Vanoli Cremona – Openjobmetis Varese 80-67
A second straight win for the hosts with T.J. Williams and Daulton Hommes sharing a team-high 17 points.
Luis Scola banking a game-high 24 points went to waste.
Carpegna Prosciutto Basket Pesaro – Dolomiti Energia Trento 57-71
Former North Carolina standout Luke Maye poured 17 points leading Trento to its first domestic win of the season. JaCorey Williams added 15 points.
Tyler Cain posted 15 points for the home side.
Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari – Pompea Fortitudo Bologna 89-86
A back-and-forth game moving the hosts to 3-1. A team-high 22 points including a clinching three-point play by Marco Spissu ultimately determined the outcome.
Adrian Banks scored 23 points for the losing side.
Virtus Bologna – Reggio Emilia 67-77
Virtus is still struggling at the beginning of the season, as Brandon Taylor (19 points) and Filippo Baldi (18 points) made it an easy job for Reggio Emilia in the end.
Giampaolo Ricci and Julian Gamble were the only scorers for Virtus in double digits with 18 and 13 points each.
Olimpia Milano – Virtus Roma 93-71
Olimpia Milano remains perfect in Italy with its fourth victory, led by Davide Moretti and Zach LeDay, who scored 15 and 14 points respectively for the hosts. Shavon Shields and Kaleb Tarczeuwski followed with 12 and 11 points each.
Dario Hunt posted 14 points for Virtus, as Gerald Robinson tapped 13.
Cantu – Reyer Venezia 67-75
Mitchell Watt paced Venezia to victory with 15 points, seven rebounds. Andrea DeNicolao posted 14 points, as Stefano Tonut had 13.
Cantu’s Jazz Johnson posted 15 points, while James Woodward added 14.
Brindisi – Treviso 99-83
D’Angelo Harrison dropped a team-high performance of 27 points and four rebounds, Nick Perkins had 18 points and Derek Willis added 17 points in Brindisi’s victory against Treviso.
David Logan and Christian Mekowulu posted 23 and 22 points each for the visiting team.
