Despite a stellar offensive night by Pesaro, which made 12 threes and had 19/19 free throws, Milan managed to react in time and save the day in the fourth quarter, ultimately getting the 97-93 win.
Zach Leday with 24 points and 10/10 free throws, plus a clutch three-pointer by Sergio Rodriguez sealed the deal. “El Chacho” finished the game with 13 points, while Gigi Datome added 18 and played a key part in the comeback.
Argentinian veteran Carlos Delfino with 23 points was the best player of the losing side, which dropped to a 6-7 record, while Milan leads the standings with a 12-1 record, having already a solid distance from Brindisi (10-3), Sassari (8-5) and Virtus Bologna (8-5).
D’Angelo Harrison with a three gave Brindisi the close 74-73 win over Trento having in total 18 points. Sassari beat Reggio Emilia (85-78) with Miro Bilan having a monster double-double (22 p. 14 r.), while Venezia escaped from Treviso by two points (88-86) with Stefano Tonut stealing the show with 27 points.
