Olimpia Milano was convincing throughout the whole Italian Cup tournament and the Final was no different as coach Ettore Messina’s squad beat VL Pesaro 87-59. This is Milano‘s seventh trophy in the competition.
Milano dominated the second quarter to go ahead 48-21 at halftime and there was no going back. They led by as much as 38 points (74-36), leaving no room for a comeback.
Luigi Datome scored 15 points while Kevin Punter and Zach LeDay helped out with 13 points each. Malcolm Delaney added ten points.
Datome earned the MVP honors for the Final Eight.

On the other side, Tyler Cain scored 15 points while Marko Filipovity logged 13, as did Henri Drell.
