Milos Teodosic was exemplary for Segafredo Virtus Bologna in the opening game of the Italian semifinal series against Happy Casa Brindisi, leading his team to a 73-66 road win.
The Serbian point guard shot 6-11 from long range on his way to game-high 24 points while also dishing four assists in the 25 minutes he spent on the floor. Marco Belinelli followed him with 16 points.
Belinelli was also responsible for crushing the hopes of the home squad, which made it a one-possession affair (59-57), with eight straight points that sparked a 12-2 run of Virtus in the fourth quarter (70-58).
For Brindisi, Derek Willis scored 15 in addition to Darius Thompson, Nick Perkins and Josh Bostic’s 12 points each.
