Fortitudo Bologna coach Jasmin Repesa announced that he’s second stint with the team is over after just one game. The Croatian coach said that he experienced a tachycardia attack in the locker room after being ejected late in the 80 – 81 loss to Reggio Emilia.
“After this match I was sick in the locker room with a tachycardia attack,” Repesa said in the post-game presser after apologizing for his ejection. He then announced that he’s stepping down. “I’ll stop here. Fortitudo is the first true love and my life. I can’t go on anymore. You know that when I make a decision, I don’t change it.”
According to various reports from Italian media, the management of Fortitudo was “surprised” after learning of Repesa’s resignation during the press conference.
Repesa returned to Fortitudo this summer to coach the team for a second time after his previous run in 2002-2006. He then led the club to the 2005 Italian championship title.
