Shavon Shields returned to the court in Olimpia Milano’s 102-84 win over Trieste and he ensured the fans of full recovery with a solid performance.
He scored 16 points while adding three assists and two rebounds. Kaleb Tarczewski was even more impactful with a 20-point, 10-rebound double-double while Sergio Rodriguez scored 13 points and dished eight assists.
Trieste was holding on until the break (44-40) but the hosts pulled away by the end of the third quarter (72-60) and sealed the deal in the final ten minutes, leaving no room for an upset.
Corey Davis scored 14 points for the losing side while Andrejs Grazulis had 13 and Adrian Banks 12 points.
Milano improved to 18-2 at the top of the Italian league standings while Trieste now sits in sixth place with 10-11.
