Olimpia Milano saved another LegaBasket semifinals sweep for Sassari, as they prevailed with an 87-69 win on the road to seal their spot in the finals. Ettore Messina’s squad is set to face reigning EuroCup champions Virtus Bologna, which also completed the sweep against Tortona on Tuesday.
Tommaso Baldasso led three more scorers of the visitors in double figures with a game-high performance of 17 points. Adding up to his efforts, Sergio Rodriguez posted 12 points, Gigi Datome added 11 points and Nicolo Melli picked up 10.
Sassari’s Gerald Robinson scored 14 points, Miro Bilan had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, while Filip Kruslin and Eimantas Bendzius each had 11 points.
The competition is expected to release the schedule of the finals soon.
