After losing its first EuroLeague game in almost 15 years in the season opener against AS Monaco, Virtus Bologna bounced back in front of its crowd. Sergio Scariolo’s team found some difficulties but managed to beat Trieste 85-80.

Nico Mannion was the best scorer on the court for his team: he closed with 18 points and 4 assists. Marco Belinelli (13 p.) was essential in Bologna’s latest offensive run. Trieste managed to stay in the game until the last minutes of the tough encounter, but Virtus’ superiority came out.

Corey Davis (22 p.), Frank Gaines (20 p., but 9 turnovers), and Frank Bartley (22 p.) weren’t enough for the away team.

Earlier in the day, EA7 Emporio Armani Milan went 2-0 in the standings by getting the 66-75 away win against newly promoted Givova Scafati. Brandon Davies had his best performance with new jersey so far, ending with 16 points and 3 rebounds. Nicolò Melli contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds. Ettore Messina’s was perfect this week, after the victories against Brescia and ASVEL.
