After losing 74-80 against ALBA Berlin at home for the second time ever, EA7 Emporio Armani Milan escaped with a crazy 83-82 home victory against Happy Casa Brindisi thanks to a buzzer-beater by Devon Hall.
Newcomers Kevin Pangos and Deshaun Thomas were the best players on the home side, ending the game respectively with 21 and 17 points.
Brindisi was powered by former Golden State Warriors player Ky Bowman (17 p.) and Marcquise Reed (16 p.), but the solid offensive performance by the American backcourt wasn’t enough. Jason Burnell had the best game with his new team, closing with 17 points and 7 rebounds.
The two teams went through completely different shooting percentages from the three-point range: Brindisi was excellent (10/18, 55.6%), while the EuroLeague participant had a rough day from downtown (7/26, 26.9%). However, the decisive shot came from behind the three-point line.
