Fourth straight win for Milan, Virtus Bologna stays perfect in Legabasket

Strengthened by Billy Baron’s return, EA7 Emporio Armani Milan defeated NutriBullet Treviso 93-80 and improved to 7-1 in Legabasket leaving Treviso in the danger zone with a 2-6 score.

Naz Mitrou Long once again led the Ettore Messina’s team with 19 points, Brandon Davies followed with 18, while Baron added 10 points.

With 23 points Adrian Banks was the top scorer of the hosts, while Paulius Sorokoas followed with 14, and Ike Iroegbu with 11 points.

The defending champions grabbed a 10-point lead in the first period and never looked back. Treviso came close during the second and third quarters, but Milan took the matters into their own hands in the last period, and after taking an 81-63 lead it was all over for the hosting team.

Virtus Segafredo Bologna improved to 8-0, with a convincing 98-68 victory over Happy Casa Brindisi, leaving the guests with a 3-5 score after eight rounds.

Marco Belinelli led the winning side with 16 points, while Nico Mannion and Kyle Weems added 15 points each.

Isaia Cordinier and Ife Lundberg followed with 11 points each, while Jordan Mickey scored 10 points.

Joonas Riisma scored 12 points for Brindisi, while Ky Bowman added 11, and Jason Burnell 10.

Sergio Scariolo’s team ended the first quarter with a 32-19 lead and had a 12-point advantage at half-time. They dominated in the third period, which ended 29-12 in favor of the hosts and it was clear that Virtus will stretch their winning streak to eight games.
