Umana Reyer announced that coach Walter De Raffaele had been relieved of his duties as head coach after a 75-76 defeat against Brindisi.

The team has been temporarily entrusted to assistant coach Gianluca Tucci.

The club thanks Walter for these thirteen successful years and wishes him the best of professional luck,” per the official report.

Venice suffered their sixth defeat in the last seven games, the fourth straight in the Italian league, before the departure of the long-serving coach.

De Raffaele won two Italian championships (2017, 2019) and an Italian Cup (2020) as a head coach of the Venice team, as well as the FIBA Europe Cup in 2018.
