History has been made in Torino, where Germani Brescia won for the first time ever the Italian Cup. After rolling past Milano and Pesaro, the white-and-blue team beat Virtus Bologna 84-76.
Amedeo Della Valle was by far the MVP of the game, as the former Milano guard ended with 26 points and 6 assists, shooting perfectly at the charity stripe (10/10).
John Petrucelli contributed as usual with an all-around performance on both ends of the floor. The former ratiopharm Ulm player had 13 points and 5 rebounds.
It was a historic night for the club, as 37-years old Christian Burns who played in the past for Milan explained: “We beat Milan and Bologna, that’s a real championship”
On the EuroLeague side, which missed the opportunity to win the Italian Cup after 21 years, Marco Belinelli scored 24 points off the bench, being the highest scorer on the black-and-white team.
Jordan Mickey added 10 points and 8 rebounds, Daniel Hackett tried his best to contain Della Valle while ending with 10 points. However, this wasn’t enough to beat an unstoppable Germani Brescia.
