During the last LBA Round, Olimpia Milano got back on the winning side by beating Verona on the road, but Ettore Messina’s team is concerned about Shabazz Napier’s physical condition.
The American shooting guard, who joined the red-and-white team in January, ended the game with 9 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists contributing to the victory, but had to leave the court at the beginning of the fourth quarter due to a right ankle injury.
Shabazz Napier, who has been averaging 14.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game in 9 LegaBasket appearances, had to deal with an ankle injury in his first European experience with Zenit Saint Petersburg back in 2021.
Olimpia Milano has been eliminated from playoffs contention and won’t play anymore this year in the EuroLeague, but the Italian team will need the 31-year-old former Washington Wizards player to fight for the domestic league against Virtus Bologna and the rest of the rivals.
