In which was the last game ever for Dinamo Sassari’s Jack Devecchi following a 17-year career, EA7 Emporio Milan took care of business, beating the Sardinian team 79-67 and locking in the 1st seed in the standings, heading to the LBA playoffs.
As usual, since he joined Milano in January, Shabazz Napier was crucial for Ettore Messina’s team, ending the game with 19 points. Johannes Voigtmann added 13 points and 7 rebounds. For Dinamo Sassari, Filip Kruslin and DeShawn Stephens had 13 points each.
Elsewhere, Virtus Bologna needed a victory against Varese and Milano’s loss to go into the playoffs as 1st classified. The first one came, as Sergio Scariolo’s team got the 98-82 win in front of its fans, while the second, as already said, didn’t.
The team’s captain Marco Belinelli dragged the black-and-white side, dropping 16 points with 4/9 beyond the arc. Former Real Madrid Jordan Mickey went close to a double-double with 12 points and 9 rebounds. On the losing side, the likely MVP of the season Colbey Ross had 15 points with 9 assists.
