MILAN, Italy – Game 2 of the Italian league finals between Olimpia Milano and Virtus Bologna was full of tense nerves and intensity, but things went to another level after the encounter.
As Virtus Bologna was heading to the locker rooms, in fact, Daniel Hackett and some Olimpia Milano fans, who seemed to have provoked the 35-year-old playmaker, ended up in an altercation, with players from both sides trying to solve the fight and bring the veteran player rapidly out of the scene.
As appeared from another footage registered from the stands, Milos Teodosic was involved in the accident as well from the beginning, which also included physical contact between him, Hackett, and the fans. His teammates then got involved, being also insulted from the stands.
After this clash, the former Olimpia player, who won a Scudetto in Milano in 2014, will probably be disqualified and Teodosic may also be in danger. Daniel Hackett had 3 points, 4 rebounds, and 8 assists in the losing effort. Ettore Messina’s team will now go to Bologna up 2-0 in the LBA Finals series.
