As officially announced, Germani Brescia parted ways with head coach Alessandro Magro.

Pallacanestro Brescia and Coach Alessandro Magro have decided, by mutual agreement, that there are no longer conditions to continue their relationship together in the 2024-2025 season. We thank Alessandro for his seriousness, dedication to work, and the results obtained,” as per the club’s official statement.

Magro took charge of Brescia in 2021, and in the first season, he won the LBA Best Coach award, while in 2023, he guided the team to the first trophy in its history with success in the Italian Cup.

This season, he led Brescia to third place in the Legabasket standings, behind only Virtus Bologna and Olimpia Milano, before dropping out to Ettore Messina’s team in the Playoff semifinals.

Before taking over Brescia, the 41-year-old coach was an assistant in the club from 2016 to 2019. He was also part of Luca Banchi’s coaching staff at Lokomotiv Kuban and led Polish club Dabrowa Gornicza in 2020/21.
