MILAN, Italy – Another season, another trophy, another memorable year in Europe for Kyle Hines. The legendary center, who will turn 38 in September, won another trophy, the 22nd of his overseas career, and the third straight Italian championship with Milan.

Talking to Eurohoops after winning Game 4 of this year’s LBA Finals series against Virtus Bologna, the American center was left speechless. “To be here, to get here, to enjoy this moment it’s… I’m speechless right now, it’s an incredible and beautiful situation to be here in this atmosphere, in this city, with this team. It’s been incredible”, he summed up the emotion he was going through.

Unlike the usual ceremony, this time the team’s captain Nicolò Melli gave him the opportunity to lift the Italian league trophy in the post-game celebration. “It was a beautiful gesture, it was a great gesture. From the team, from Nik [Melli], as the captain, as the senior member of the team, for me to be the one to lift the trophy in what may possibly be my last time doing this, it’s something I’ll remember forever”, he said about such a beautiful moment.

Finally, asked if this was the final and winning chapter of his career, or at least of his experience in Milan, he left the door open. “I’m not 100% sure, yeah. But if it is, what a way to go out”, Kyle Hines expressed with joy on his face.
