Despite not playing in any European competitions next year, Pallacanestro Brescia managed to acquire a former EuroLeague player like Nikola Ivanovic, who will join the team now guided by the newest head coach Giuseppe Poeta.
In the 2023-24 season, after leaving Crvena Zvezda following two seasons with the Serbian powerhouse, he averaged 14.0 points and 4.0 assists per game in the VTB League with Runa Moscow.
He wasn’t inserted into Montenegro’s extended roster for the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Riga due to his current injury status. With the national team, he played at EuroBasket 2013 and 2017, while also representing his country at the last two FIBA World Cups.
Playing for the second time in his career with an Italian team after being on loan to Orlandina in 2017, he spent time with current Brescia’s captain Amedeo Della Valle in Buducnost. With the Montenegrin club, he was inserted into the All-EuroCup Second Team in 2018.
