In a safe lead for most of Round 15 of Italy’s LBA UnipolSai Regular Season, Virtus Segafredo Bologna settled with an 86-75 win over Napoli in Virtus Segafredo Arena on Sunday.
Jumping to 11-4 handed the fourth seed in the 2025 Frecciarossa Final Eight bracket and shaped a battle with fifth-seeded, fellow Turkish Airlines EuroLeague outfit EA7 Emporio Armani Milan in the Quarterfinals.
Marco Belinelli stood out with a game-high 20 points behind 8/13 field goals. Andrejs Grazulis and Achille Polonara chipped in 16 and 14 points, respectively. Will Clyburn, Tornike Shengelia, and Ante Zizic, who were stuck on the injury list, were inactive for the team coached by Dusko Ivanovic.
In Unipol Forum, Olimpia Milan topped UnaHotels Reggio Emilia in a high-scoring affair, 108-106. Nikola Mirotic scored 33 points, a new individual high in his 2024-25 journey. Responsible for four out of 11/25 three-pointers, Shavon Shields followed with 33 points. Dealing with injuries, Fabien Causeur, Nenad Dimitrijevic, Ousmane Diop, and Josh Nebo remained out.
