A confident display, especially after the break, sends Virtus Segafredo Bologna to a domestic win against EA7 Emporio Armani Milan

Virtus Segafredo Bologna climbed to the top of the LBA UnipolSai table by beating fellow Turkish Airlines EuroLeague participant EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, 86-80, in Virtus Segafredo Arena on Sunday.

Marco Belinelli drew up a team-high 19 points. Tornike Shengelia and Matt Morgan followed with 16 and 15 points, respectively. A game-high 22 points by Nikola Mirotic settled on the losing end.

Jumping to 15-5 in the 2024-25 Regular Season of the Italian league, the team guided by Dusko Ivanovic matched Germani Brescia and Dolomiti Energia Trento. The visitors fell to 13-7.

Experienced tactician Ettore Messina ruled out Shavon Shields and Nenad Dimitrijevic for the Round 20 fixture, besides missing Leandro Bolmaro (right shoulder) and Josh Nebo (right arm). For the hosts, Andrejs Grazulis was left out of the lineup, and Will Clyburn (left foot) and Achille Polonara (knee) remained on the injury list.
