After losing to Dinamo Sassari in Legabasket’s 20th round, Reyer Venezia decided to fire coach Carlo Recalcati, one of the icons of Italian basketball.
Recalcati was hired in the summer of 2014 and now his assistant Walter De Raffaele will finish the season as the head coach. Recalcati’s resume as a coach includes three Italian leagues titles, two Italian supercups, a bronze medal in Eurobasket 2003 and also a silver medal in the 2004 Olympic games as the head coach of the Italian national team.
