Pat Calathes, brother of Nick, is leaving Panathinaikos for Italy and Cantu. The Greek-American big man has started the season with the Greens, but he couldn’t get regular minutes in the rotation.
Things, however, are expected to be quite different for the experienced forward in Italy with Cantu in need of a big man, capable to give tham a boost in the front line. Calathes is expected to arrive tomorrow in Italy in order to join his new club.
Local newspaper “La Provincia di Como” reported first the interest of Cantu for Calathes.
UPDATE: Cantu announced the transfer on the 4th of January.
